Since 2008 scientists from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany in collaboration with colleagues from Vancouver, Canada are analyzing the ethical, sociocultural and neuropsychiatric aspects of Cognitive Enhancement, thus the use of new pharmaceuticals by healthy subjects in an attempt to improve certain aspects of one's cognitive abilities such as memory, concentration, attention, and alertness.

Besides presentation of project results there will be guest talks of Bettina Schöne-Seifert, Münster University, and Hans-Holger Bleβ from the IGES Institute, Berlin, at the conference. We welcome anyone interested in the topic.
