DRC to supply information technology services, medical program support to WRAMC

Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq:DRCO), a leading provider of innovative management consulting, engineering, and technology solutions to federal and state governments, today announced that it was awarded a new task order with the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC). The contract, which has a total estimated value of $18 million, began on September 1, 2010 and has a period of performance of 16 months if all options are exercised. 

Under the terms of the contract, DRC is providing information technology services and medical program support such as medical transcription, clinical research support, healthcare planning, and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) integration and transition support.

"Our investments in DRC's in-house clinical capabilities, combined with our deep IT expertise, have enabled us to deliver a holistic program during a critical transition period," said Jim Regan, DRC's chairman and chief executive officer."

The 2005 BRAC recommendations called for transition of WRAMC to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
