Prematics, a leading provider of e-prescribing and care communication solutions, today announced a partnership with NaviNet, America's largest real-time healthcare communications network, to enable the delivery of healthcare content and applications to mobile devices.
“Partnering with NaviNet allows us to provide care management and coordination capabilities between NaviNet's health plan customers and physician offices”
Seventy percent of U.S. physicians, as well as hundreds of thousands of clinicians and other healthcare professionals nationwide, rely on NaviNet for secure, real-time administrative, financial and clinical communications with leading national, commercial, Blue, and Medicaid health plans. Through integration of the Prematics Care Communication platform with NaviNet's multi-payer portal, providers will now have access to vital clinical information from health plans at the time of the patient encounter in the exam room.
"Partnering with NaviNet allows us to provide care management and coordination capabilities between NaviNet's health plan customers and physician offices," said Kevin Hutchinson, president and CEO, Prematics, Inc. "This is a key step for Prematics as we continue the expansion of our services to health plans in support of recent health reform legislation through strategic partnerships. With this additional partnership we can reach many more physicians in several new markets and give them access to Care Communication providing timely, relevant clinical information from health plans and pharmacies when and where it is most actionable and impactful—when the doctor and patient are together."
Health plans already delivering patient information to providers via NaviNet's desktop messaging solutions have seen that care gaps are closed when physicians view that patient data. Joining NaviNet with the Prematics Care Communication platform will expand NaviNet's messaging capabilities to mobile devices, extend the reach and impact of patient and clinical data from health plans, and further improve quality of care and cost savings.
"As the healthcare industry becomes increasingly patient-centric, NaviNet is creating a unified system for providers to manage the patient information lifecycle. Our collaborations with health plans and partners like Prematics ensure physicians are armed with all available and relevant clinical information, so they can deliver the highest quality patient care," said Brad Waugh, president and CEO, NaviNet, Inc. "Our work with Prematics enables NaviNet health plan customers to 'go mobile' and further maximize the benefits of real-time health information exchange and increasing the value of NaviNet to providers."
