"The changes to our DHMO plans reflect the most contemporary research and best practices in dental plan design to help employers provide their employees with a cost-effective benefit option that optimizes value and patient satisfaction. These plans address important dental needs to help covered members achieve good oral health," said Michael Schwartz, vice president, MetLife Dental Products.

"These plans now cover more than 400 procedures — 60 more than the previous DHMO plans — making the MET Series one of the most comprehensive DHMO plans in the market today," said Alan Hirschberg, vice president, MetLife Dental Products, who recently joined MetLife to oversee product and network development.

The dental benefits offered by the MET Series are in addition to the standard features of the DHMO plans, which include no patient claims or claim forms, no deductibles, no calendar year maximums and an easy-to-understand schedule of benefits. Members also have access to a large network of participating providers as well as MetLife's robust service capabilities. The plans are available as a stand-alone DHMO or as a dual-option combination with the MetLife DPPO.
