Mylan obtains temporary restraining order against Apotex and GlaxoSmithKline

Mylan Inc. (Nasdaq: MYL) today obtained a temporary restraining order from the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey that prohibits Apotex from "using, offering to sell, selling or shipping or otherwise launching … or importing" all three strengths of a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's Paxil CR, Paroxetine Hydrochloride (HCl) Extended-release (ER) Tablets, 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 37.5 mg. The order also prohibits GlaxoSmithKline from supplying Apotex with a generic version of the product. The order was entered today, and the court has scheduled further hearings on the matter for Oct. 18.
