CDC selects Northrop Grumman to compete for task orders in CIMS contract

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to compete for task orders to provide information management and technology services in support of the CDC's global health mission under a $5 billion indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract.

Northrop Grumman will compete for task order awards in two of three domain areas for the CDC Information Management Services (CIMS) contract, including the information management services domain, and in the information technology (IT) infrastructure services domain. Work will be conducted over a two-year base period with four, two-year option periods.

A comprehensive breadth of technology services will be performed under the CIMS contract to equip the CDC with modern, secure and accessible systems and infrastructure. Northrop Grumman will compete for task orders under the information management systems domain that consist of planning, design, development, maintenance, engineering, integration and retirement of information systems. Within the IT infrastructure services domain, the company will vie for task orders to provide help desk services and engage in the design, installation, management and support of networks, data center operations, information security systems and conferencing services.

"We will leverage our broad range of science, technology, cybersecurity and public health services and solutions to help the CDC collaborate with state, local, federal and international entities to influence and impact the delivery of vital healthcare services," Mills added.

Work on the contract will be conducted in Atlanta and at various CDC sites nationwide as well as in approximately 50 countries around the world. Northrop Grumman's teammates include more than 20 large and small business and university partners.
