To help address this issue, University Hospitals Case Medical Center (UHCMC) in Cleveland, Ohio, rated among the best hospitals in the nation, recently purchased a suite of systems from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., including an AplioTM MX, two XarioTM XGs and two AplioTM XG systems. These ultrasound systems are enhancing workflow and efficiency as they allow the hospital to perform a variety of patient exams including organ biopsies; intra-operative imaging; and thyroid, lung and pancreas exams.

Dr. Dean Nakamoto, section head, Abdominal Imaging, University Hospitals Case Medical Center, who uses the Aplio XG daily, added, "The high resolution of the Aplio XG provides a crisp, clear image, allowing us to see exactly what is needed while imaging a patient. Precision Imaging acquires ultrasound images with outstanding clarity and resolution, enabling users to see clinical detail. As a multi-resolution signal-processing technology, it not only evaluates images line by line, but also includes information from adjacent lines to enhance the amount of information obtained.
