DocPatientNetwork, Inc. announced today that Doctations Version 2.0, its complete internet-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, is Surescripts Gold Certified and is a CCHIT Certified 2011 Ambulatory EHR, joining a list of eight to have achieved both certifications. Additionally, DocPatientNetwork is one of only three vendors in the country to achieve Surescripts Gold Certification and ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification as a Complete EHR.
Products that surpass the baseline certification criteria and meet a greater standard of e-prescribing are awarded coveted Gold Solution Provider status from Surescripts, the largest e-prescription network in the U.S. The status is intended to recognize technology vendors that completely utilize Surescripts' capabilities and network to make the prescribing process safer and more efficient.
Gold Solution Provider status recognizes physician technology vendors that are advancing electronic prescribing and healthcare interoperability with customers in the United States. This certification is designed to recognize physician technology vendors' products that leverage the complete resources and capabilities of Surescripts and its network to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of the prescribing process. Doctations can perform several functions not available to non-certified entities, including obtaining real-time medical history data and canceling incorrect prescriptions.
"Certification as a Gold Solution Provider is a testament not only to the strength of our Doctations product, but also our technological expertise in third-party system integration and customization," stated Dr. Louis Cornacchia III, Founder and CEO of DocPatientNetwork, Inc. "Doctations 2.0 is in the upper echelon of EMR products from one of only three companies that has product certification as both ONC-ATCB Certified 2011/2012 by CCHIT® to support Meaningful Use and Gold certified by Surescripts," continued Dr. Cornacchia.
