A.D.A.M., Inc. (Nasdaq: ADAM), a leading provider of health information and benefits technology solutions, announced today that the company will unveil the new A.D.A.M. Health Navigator at the 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas, November 15th - 17th.

“As consumers become more participative in managing their health, they will need engaging and interactive tools to help them find the information to better understand their conditions and to help them quickly and easily find appropriate healthcare resources that can meet their needs.”

Utilizing new 3D avatars and A.D.A.M. health articles, the tool provides faster, more intuitive health searches with fewer clicks. Consumers select health search topics including symptoms, injuries, self care, diseases, tests and surgeries, and selected areas of the body. Search results highlight the most relevant A.D.A.M. health articles and corresponding medical images, videos, and illustrated presentations. Users can also search by specific health topic or keyword.

"The A.D.A.M. Health Navigator is the latest in a long line of visually engaging applications that help consumers make better decisions about their health," said Mark Adams, president and chief executive officer of A.D.A.M. "As consumers become more participative in managing their health, they will need engaging and interactive tools to help them find the information to better understand their conditions and to help them quickly and easily find appropriate healthcare resources that can meet their needs."

The product allows hospital and healthcare websites to better engage online healthcare consumers and connect them to doctors and services. The new 3D avatars are available in four ethnicities - Caucasian, African American, Hispanic and Asian - allowing organizations to choose the ethnicity that best represents their target audience.

"Our goal was to create a product that can set A.D.A.M. client websites apart from other online health information sites by allowing them to not only provide relevant, trusted health information but to go a step further to connect consumers to care," said Rick Leach, senior vice president and general manager of A.D.A.M. Health Solutions. "The new A.D.A.M. Health Navigator utilizes the latest technologies to provide a more realistic rendering of the human body, more robust search results, and multiple ways to connect to healthcare services and providers. This product highlights our commitment to helping consumers find health information online that doesn't leave them at a dead end."

The A.D.A.M. Health Navigator will be unveiled on Monday, November 15th at the 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Demonstrations of the product will be available at the A.D.A.M. booth in the exhibit hall. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
