PerformRx awarded pharmacy benefit management contract by California DGS

PerformRx (www.performrx.com), a full-service pharmacy benefits management company, today announced it has been awarded the pharmacy benefit management contract by the California Department of General Services (DGS). Chosen as the result of a competitive RFP process, PerformRx will help the California Department of General Services provide efficient pharmacy benefit management services to portions of the state's population covered by DGS's statewide pharmaceutical program.

“Additionally, PerformRx looks forward to our partnership with DGS as we help to ensure the appropriate medication goes to the right member, at the right time.”

Under the terms of the contract, PerformRx provides pharmacy coverage for individuals from the California's Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) who are in need of ongoing mental health treatment, and those within the California Division of Juvenile Justice Parole Operations (DJJPO) that are not currently covered under California's Medicaid program, Medi-Cal.
