MEDSEEK, the industry's only provider of the optimal 360-degree online health care experience, today announced its partnership with BayCare Health System to develop and deploy a fully integrated eHealth solution for consumers, patients, clinicians and employees.
“We look forward to the continued growth of our strong, collaborative relationship with BayCare Health System and its impact on the health of BayCare Health System's patients as well as the organization as a whole.”
"The timing of this agreement is strategically significant for us," said Stewart Schaffer, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at BayCare Health System. "The eHealth solution that will be provided by MEDSEEK is an essential part of the technology platform we are building to integrate customer relations management, patient navigation and marketing intelligence across our large health care system. We are embracing best practices in technology—providing a single access point for our customers to receive information."
BayCare first engaged MEDSEEK to deploy its consumer websites in 2003, intending to deliver an online health care experience more closely aligned with the travel and banking industries.
"Every health care organization in this country should be working to give patients online access to services and information and to provide the service level that the travel and banking industries have offered for years. That means actually transacting business: paying bills, scheduling appointments in real time and communicating electronically with health care providers," said Schaffer. "Those hospitals that create this patient experience will excel in the years to come."
It is also critical for BayCare to continue the clinical integration already under way with its electronic health record (EHR) system. This effort is an important element of health care reform and critical to meeting the requirements of Meaningful Use.
"Our growing relationship with BayCare underscores its commitment to remain on the leading edge of health care technology. This is a health care organization that has made the deliberate decision to leverage existing technology to significantly improve the patient experience," said Peter Kühn, CEO of MEDSEEK. "We look forward to the continued growth of our strong, collaborative relationship with BayCare Health System and its impact on the health of BayCare Health System's patients as well as the organization as a whole."
