DynaVox Mayer-Johnson, the leading provider of speech generating devices and symbol-adapted special education software used to assist individuals in overcoming speech, language and learning challenges, today announced Boardmaker Player for Windows.  The latest addition to the popular Boardmaker Software Family, Boardmaker Player for Windows ensures that all students are able to access lessons and activities created with Boardmaker Studio and Boardmaker Plus!, and reduces costs for schools and school districts.

Turning any Windows-based PC into an interactive learning station, Boardmaker Player for Windows supports learning and opens the doors to academic achievement by giving all students -- including those with physical access and/or learning challenges -- access to interactive lessons and activities adapted to meet their unique needs.  When Boardmaker Player for Windows is installed on student computers, students can access the many activities, lessons and games created with Boardmaker Studio or Boardmaker Plus!.

"Accessibility should never be a barrier to learning," said DynaVox COO and President Michelle Heying. "Boardmaker Player for Windows provides a convenient and affordable solution that puts every student -- regardless of their abilities -- on the road to academic success."

The company also announced an update to Boardmaker Studio.  Available free-of-charge, Boardmaker Studio Version 1.1 provides additional functionality that enhances the user experience for students with significant visual and physical access needs.
