EDIWatch, Inc., a leading provider of anti-fraud solutions to the healthcare industry and The Arizona Medicaid Agency, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Office of Inspector General are pleased to announce the signing of a three-year contract.  The contract will provide a software system that will enable investigators and auditors to analyze detailed claims in order to spotlight patterns of suspicious behavior.  AHCCCS is committed to providing affordable healthcare to citizens at the lowest cost to taxpayers.  Combating fraud, waste and mismanagement, through the use of technology is one way to control costs.

EDIWatch was selected after a comprehensive procurement process and has already begun working on the project.  AHCCCS plans to implement EDIWatch's Intelligent Investigator and Trail Tracker products statewide in early 2011.

"EDIWatch already provides anti-fraud technology to a significant portion of the country's Medicaid managed care organizations," said Arjomand Rahimzadeh, President of EDIWatch.  "This new partnership with AHCCCS will allow us to greatly expand our offering in the public-paying sector.  Our focus will continue to be on developing cutting-edge technologies that enable our partners to achieve their overall goals. With Medicaid costs stretching state budgets past the breaking point, we are delighted to be a vital part of the solution to this critical issue in Arizona."
