Meru Networks, Inc., the leader in virtualized 802.11n enterprise wireless networking, today announced that it has been recognized by Everything Channel's
CRN Magazine as one of the top 100 2010 Health Care Vendors. This first annual list recognizes the most important health care technology vendors with indirect channel programs or direct relevance to the channel. According to IDC Health Insights, growth in implementation of electronic medical records and health information exchange technologies will help to spur the worldwide growth of health care IT spending over the next three years to over $13 billion. As a result, these technologies are quickly becoming a lucrative, value-added play for solution providers and VARs, who need to identify the ideal vendors with which they can partner with on health care opportunities.
According to CRN, some of Meru's strongest products for health care were released this year, including its AP320i wireless access point designed for 802.11n at 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The AP320i is Meru's most technologically advanced access point, based on its unique Virtual Cell™ architecture and support for mission-critical applications. Meru's AP320i is suited for bandwidth intensive applications and supports high speed data transmissions, including high definition video and VoIP services while offering ease-of-scalability.
"It is an honor to be acknowledged among the top health care technology vendors in the world," said Ihab Abu-Hakima, president and chief executive officer, Meru Networks. "Our solution reseller partners are an extremely important part of our overall company strategy, and Meru is proud to receive this honor from CRN and to be recognized as a leader within the reseller community."

As excitement over health care IT flourishes, many solution providers are still unsure how to get started or where they can seek health care IT resources and education. CRN's first annual list recognizes the key players in the health care space with indirect channel programs or direct relevance to the channel, bringing to the forefront 100 health care vendors solution providers should know. Final selections were made by CRN's editorial team. These 100 health care vendors were culled from industry research, interviews with numerous solution providers and analysts, and CRN editors' knowledge specific to the health-care space. A special feature of the top health care vendors is in the October issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
