Qualifacts CareLogic Enterprise achieves Complete EHR certification

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Qualifacts Systems Inc. announced at the kickoff of its 2011 Users' Conference that CareLogic Enterprise is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on March 22, 2011, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

“There are encouraging efforts underway in congress to expand the meaningful use incentives for behavioral health providers”

"The certification process is a perfect illustration of why our Software as a Service model makes so much sense," says Gregg Boyle, chief technology officer for Qualifacts. "Now that CareLogic Enterprise has achieved complete certification, every live customer has immediate access to a complete, certified EHR meaning they meet the first step towards qualifying to go after their incentive money right away. Our customers didn't have to endure any of the typical software up-charges or upgrades in order to get from the version they were using to the certified version - the complete, certified EHR came to them."

"There are encouraging efforts underway in congress to expand the meaningful use incentives for behavioral health providers," said David Klements, president and chief executive officer for Qualifacts. "However, the existing incentives are significant and we're eager to help our customers pursue the tens of millions of dollars for which they already may be eligible."

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

"CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives," said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.
