Twenty-four facilities earn Certified Urgent Care Center designation

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Twenty-four more facilities have just received the Certified Urgent Care Center designation awarded by the Urgent Care Association of America. The Certified Urgent Care program helps the public identify urgent care centers and promotes and advances the urgent care industry.

This distinction is essential to eliminate confusion with other types of medical providers. Each Certified center has met specific nationally-standardized criteria which clearly describe the level of services provided.

Each Certified center accepts unscheduled, walk-in patients during all hours of operation, is equipped with x-ray and laboratory services and a licensed provider is always available to perform minor procedures including casting and suturing.

The Certified Urgent Care Center designation was awarded to centers in:

  • California
  • Georgia
  • Kansas
  • Michigan
  • Missouri
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Virginia
