CCEI offers course on child abuse in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month

ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a nationally accredited, IACET CEU granting, distance training institution dedicated exclusively to the child care industry, offers new users the opportunity to try online learning by taking the course CCEI112A: Child Abuse: Signs of Abuse and Reporting Requirements for Early Childhood Professionals at no cost for the month of April, in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

As mandated reporters, child care providers are legally responsible for identifying and reporting signs of child abuse and neglect. Caregivers should be trained on the importance of visual checks and how to properly report their findings. This online course defines the four major categories of abuse, along with the signs, symptoms, and examples of each type of abuse.
