Halfpenny Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of clinical data exchange solutions, today announced that during the first quarter of 2011, it has added 13 new clients to its growing customer list. Stretching from Massachusetts to California, the new accounts build on Halfpenny's proven Integration Technology Framework (ITF) for delivering turn-key interfaces between hospitals and laboratories, and the physician EMR systems that require Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and structured results reporting to meet Meaningful Use (MU) criteria as defined in the ARRA HITECH stimulus legislation.

“During the past three years, Halfpenny has completed 2,000 lab to EMR interface projects and connected more than 100 EMR vendors for our 75 hospital and lab clients via our ITF platform”

"During the past three years, Halfpenny has completed 2,000 lab to EMR interface projects and connected more than 100 EMR vendors for our 75 hospital and lab clients via our ITF platform," said Jerry Baker, president and CEO of Halfpenny Technologies. "We are now in 28 states delivering our SaaS-based clinical data exchange solutions that enable hospitals and laboratories to integrate lab orders and results with any physician EMR system."

The following list includes some of the new clients that selected Halfpenny as a clinical data connectivity provider based on the company's strong track record in successfully integrating hospitals and laboratories with disparate physician EMR systems.

  • Apex Laboratories of Farmingdale, New York
  • Capital Toxicology of Austin, Texas
  • Hunter Laboratories, Inc., of Campbell, California
  • Medx International of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts
  • Pathology Inc., of Torrance, California
  • ProPath of Dallas, Texas
  • Shiel Medical Laboratory of Brooklyn, New York
  • Singulex of Alameda, California
  • Sunrise Medical Laboratories of Hauppauge, New York

These companies are also able to access Halfpenny Technologies' range of flexible, portal-based components, which meet a lab's requirements for clean, compliant orders while addressing MU deficiencies. To further support MU efforts, Halfpenny is actively partnering with a growing number of EMR vendors to accelerate MU certification. Additionally, through a combination of technology and highly specialized professional services, the company provides LOINC and Test Code Dictionary mapping, which are crucial to population based health initiatives such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).
