UC Health chooses Recondo software services to reduce costly insurance denials

NewsGuard 100/100 Score
UC Health, the University of Cincinnati Hospital system, has selected Recondo® software services Auth-DP™ and EligibilityPlus™. UC Health selected Recondo services to reduce costly insurance denials owing to missing insurance authorizations and to deliver current and complete patient insurance eligibility data.

"Assessing our best practices and using significant internal resources, we found that authorization-related denials remained higher than we wanted," said Doug Gardner, Director of Patient Financial Services for UC Health. "In addition, our staff spent much of their time accessing payer websites and making phone calls to determine authorization requirements and status. UC Health chose Recondo Auth-DP especially to reduce and eliminate these missing authorization-related denials and associated labor-intensive processes. Also, because Recondo deploys proprietary ReconBot™ technology to mine data from payer websites, we chose EligibilityPlus to provide us with complete, accurate, and easy-to-use eligibility data."

"We're pleased to work with UC Health to expand and enhance their existing best practices," said Fred Horn, Recondo Chief Operating Officer. "Activating our Auth-DP and EligibilityPlus software services will help UC Health eliminate costly manual-intensive processes and automate the UC Health revenue cycle."
