eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Women's Care Florida, one of the largest independent, fully integrated OB/GYN groups in the United States, has chosen the eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for its 165 providers across 52 locations. Designed to improve the delivery of care with access to real-time information and clinical analytics, eClinicalWorks will also seamlessly connect the group with hospitals and referring providers.

"Women's Care Florida is laser focused on continuously improving our quality and efficiency of care and, more recently, we have been looking for a means to further improve communication between our providers, patients and affiliated health systems," explained Ignacio Armas, M.D., President of Women's Care Florida. "eClinicalWorks will allow us to improve the coordination of care and quality of reporting within our group. Its advanced functionality and accelerated product development will allow us to become even more efficient as a leading healthcare organization."

eClinicalWorks will assist Women's Care Florida in enhancing its group practice with a comprehensive EHR that includes specialty-specific features, including OB flow sheets. To create further efficiencies, there will be bi-directional interfaces between eClinicalWorks and Women's Care Florida's laboratory and radiology systems in addition to connecting the group with the labor and delivery departments of the hospitals responsible for the 15,000 deliveries performed by the group annually.

"eClinicalWorks works closely with customers to ensure that our EHR has all of the specialty-specific features required for such a respected OB/GYN group to excel," said Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. "The integration and communications capabilities inherent in the solution aid practices in sharing accurate, real-time information with providers, patients and others along the care continuum. We look forward to working with Women's Care Florida and helping bring its group to the next level."

As part of eClinicalWorks' comprehensive EHR solution, Women's Care Florida will implement the following:

eClinicalWorks EMR/PM enables clinicians to manage patient flow, immediately access patient records in-house or remotely, electronically communicate with the referring physicians and securely send consult notes and clinical data;

eClinicalWorks Patient Portal allows patients and doctors to communicate securely via the Internet;

eBO® performs clinical and financial analytics;

eClinicalWorks P2P™ provides practice-to-practice, provider-to-provider communications in a peer-to-peer environment;

eClinicalMobile® permits Women's Care Florida's physicians to access the system at any time through their smart phones;

eClinicalMessenger® acts as a messaging service to enable Women's Care Florida to send messages to patients singularly or in batches.
