Inmedius®, Inc. announces that the International Association for the Study of Obesity (IASO) has adopted its Generation21Learning Suite to disseminate evidence-based eLearning resources to health professionals globally. An umbrella organization of member groups from over 50 countries, IASO represents scientists, medical and health professionals working in the field of obesity research, clinical management and education. By deploying the Inmedius Learning Management System (LMS), IASO plans to improve the caliber of standard care available for obese patients.

"From the start, it was evident to us that Inmedius recognized the importance of our relationship, taking the time and effort to understand IASO's needs, and to provide a solution that supports our objectives and mission," explained Chris Trimmer, Executive Director, IASO. "We have a rather complicated subscription and renewal process for learners to access IASO materials that the Generation21 System is able to accommodate. With its eCommerce capabilities, the LMS supports the option for users to purchase individual modules or access to our full curriculum of courses. Its flexible structure allows IASO to offer different discounts or pricing arrangements to our members and affiliated organizations, facilitating opportunities for us to develop business to business relationships."

Access to a functional, convenient and engaging online learning environment will benefit IASO's members and subscribers. The Generation21 Learning Suite will also enable IASO to reach health practitioners in regions and communities where obesity is increasing at a significant rate and educational resources are limited. Seamless integration with the organization's existing Web site will help to maintain and strengthen IASO's brand, while allowing visitors to browse the catalog of available courses.

IASO's eLearning environment includes a robust subscription model to allow access to resources worldwide, in addition to an applications component for fellowships and training accreditation. A key motivation for professionals to purchase an IASO subscription and to complete their training is the ability to attain a Specialist Certification in Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE).

"We feel privileged to add IASO to our growing client roster of health care organizations, and to be the eLearning distribution platform for their global initiative to improve the lives of people struggling with obesity," explained Michael Ingledew, Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Inmedius.
