Ipswitch, Inc. is pleased to announce that for the second straight year, it is the Elite Sponsor for the Annual Resolution Run to Kick Cancer 5k Road Race. The Resolution Run to Kick Cancer (RR2KC) is a Lexington-MA based non-profit organization and its mission is "to help those that are fighting cancer and their families and to promote healthy lifestyles in our community."

“We are really excited to be part of this important community event and the lead sponsor for the 2nd year in a row”

As a result of Ipswitch, Inc.'s iCare program, in which five percent of company profits are donated to a variety of community programs, Ipswitch, Inc. is the proud Elite Sponsor of this event. About twenty members of the Ipswitch family are planning on attending - and some running - this year's race. Members of the Ipswitch, Inc.'s Network Management Division that are attending will be able to count their hours towards the "Twenty4Twenty" community service program, in which members of the division must complete twenty hours of community service in 2012 in celebration of the company's twentieth year.

"We are really excited to be part of this important community event and the lead sponsor for the 2nd year in a row," said Ennio Carboni, president of Ipswitch, Inc. Network Management Division. "Ipswitch and our division are committed to giving back to the community and the Resolution Run to Kick Cancer event is a great cause with an important message."

This year's race is being held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11:00am at the Knight of Columbus Hall, 177 Bedford St. in Lexington, MA. Last year over five hundred people ran the 5k road race, and several hundred people are expected to participate this year as well. Registration for the race is $25 in advance, and $30 day of race registration can be completed online or in person. Awards will be given to the overall top finishers, as well as the top cancer survivors. All proceeds raised are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and other cancer-related organizations.
