"APHON is honored to have won, for the second year in a row, a prestigious Gold Award in the Association TRENDS 2011 All-Media Contest. We are proud of our new Biologic Chemotherapeutic Therapy for the Non-Cancer Pediatric Patients flash drive, but are even more proud of our talented volunteer leaders and staff that have developed this and many other products. It is a pleasure and an honor to serve the field of pediatric hematology/oncology nursing." Dave Bergeson, APHON Executive Director.

APHON is the professional organization for pediatric hematology/oncology nurses and other pediatric hematology/oncology healthcare professionals. Its more than 3,400 members are dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders, and their families. APHON provides the leadership and expertise to pediatric hematology/oncology nurses by defining and promoting the highest standards of practice and care to the pediatric, adolescent, and young adult communities.

The TRENDS All Media Contest is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the most creative and effective communication vehicles developed in the industry over the prior year. APHON will be honored at the 33nd Annual Salute to Association Excellence, to be held February 10, 2012, at the Capital Hilton in Washington DC.
