Kaiser Permanente Colorado, the state's largest non-profit health plan, has announced the locations of its new medical office buildings opening this fall in Fort Collins and Loveland.

Kaiser Permanente medical offices in Fort Collins will be located at 2950 Harmony Road, on the northwest corner of Harmony and Ziegler Roads.   In Loveland, medical offices will be located just east of the intersection of I-25 and Highway 34, at 4901 Thompson Parkway. Both sites will offer Kaiser Permanente members convenient access to health care services, close to home.

The new Fort Collins and Loveland medical offices will provide members with a wide-range of health care services, including primary care, laboratory, x-ray and pharmacy, under one roof.  In addition, the Loveland location will offer mammography services.

"We believe our current and future members are going to love these new medical offices in Fort Collins and Loveland. Patients will be able to see a doctor, pick up a prescription and even have blood work done, all in the same place. We are very pleased to offer this new option for high quality care in Northern Colorado," said Donna Lynne, DrPH, President, Kaiser Permanente Colorado.

While specific staffing plans are still in the works, each medical office will employ approximately two dozen health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, technicians and administrative staff. Over the next few years, with the addition of medical offices in Greeley, Kaiser Permanente's expansion to Northern Colorado is expected to bring approximately 100 jobs to the region.

In December, Kaiser Permanente announced its intention to offer health care services for the first time in Northern Colorado by the fall of 2012.  This expansion will include new medical offices in Loveland and Fort Collins by late 2012, and in Greeley by 2014, a contracted network of community providers and an exclusive hospital agreement with Banner Health hospitals and physicians.

Banner Health and Kaiser Permanente are leaders in care coordination and health information technology and will work collaboratively to utilize their tools to coordinate patient care. This will allow for enhanced prevention and wellness services, as well as an array of tools members can use to take a proactive role in their health care.

All Northern Colorado Kaiser Permanente members will have access to specialists from a preferred provider network made up of Banner physicians and other specialty providers in the community. Members may also choose to see a primary care physician in the Banner Health network.  Hospital care will be provided at Banner Health's McKee Medical Center in Loveland and North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

Kaiser Permanente Colorado will offer commercial health plan coverage to employers by October 1, 2012.   Individual and Family plans will be added by 2013.
