Medical Brands has obtained a Class IIa medical device status through the appropriate Competent Authorities for Cranberry-Active™, a patented cranberry-based oral capsule clinically shown to support urinary tract health. As a registered Class IIa medical device, Cranberry-Active™ is the only cranberry-based product in the European Economic Area and recognized countries that can be freely marketed with a medical claim for treating and preventing urinary tract infections.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a serious health problem affecting millions of people each year. Today, antibiotics are the traditional treatment for UTIs but there is a growing global push towards other solutions as resistance to antibiotics continues to rise.
