LifeBridge Health has been honored for a second straight year with three prestigious Partner for Change Awards for its commitment to protecting the environment and human health by Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization for health care facilities dedicated to environmentally responsible operations. The awards are given each year for outstanding environmental achievements in the health care sector.
LifeBridge Health centers Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital received a Partner for Change, with Distinction Award, and Sinai Hospital and Northwest Hospital received Partner for Change Awards.
LifeBridge Health achieved these awards due to its successful sustainability programs in mercury elimination, waste reduction and recycling. Levindale's "with Distinction" designation was given because it met all of the qualifications for the Partner for Change Award while also demonstrating significant progress in advanced categories such as food, greening the OR, greening the supply chain, energy and water.
"We are equally proud of each of our centers for once again being selected for these awards," said Peter Arn, vice president of Enterprise Development and Support Services for LifeBridge Health. "Our commitment to protecting the environment is reflected in our many sustainability initiatives. This same dedication is also evident in our employees, who have played a significant role in helping us 'stay green' throughout the LifeBridge Health system."
