Sonendo®, a developer of a revolutionary technology for the endodontic marketplace, unveiled its new Multisonic Ultracleaning™ System at the recent American Association of Endodontics (AAE) in Hawaii, a national, member-based organization dedicated to endodontic education.

The Multisonic Ultracleaning System, currently scheduled to launch in 2014, is designed to be a disruptive technology that uses a mixture of irrigating fluids and sound waves to clean inside the roots of teeth.  The system is designed to automatically and simultaneously clean all canals in about five minutes, as well as improve the clinical quality and business performance of root canal therapy.

Michael Hoen , DDS, Director of the Graduate Endodontic Program, University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and American Board of Endodontics Diplomate said, "I was both intrigued and impressed by the Sonendo device.  From both the academic and clinical perspectives, I look forward to the paradigm shift the system may bring to the quality of endodontics in the future."

At the AAE meeting, Sonendo hosted two receptions and welcomed dental professionals from around the world who gathered information about the new Multisonic Ultracleaning System that could ultimately impact the way root canals are performed, with the hope of leading to superior patient satisfaction and improved quality of service.

"As an exhibitor in its first year at the AAE, we were able to establish invaluable exposure for our technology and relationships that will be collaborative in our mission to improve root canal therapy and endodontic practices," said Bjarne Bergheim , Chief Executive Officer of Sonendo.  "We definitely sparked interest in our new Multisonic Ultracleaning System and we believe it's an important technology that will ultimately have a significant impact on the global endodontic marketplace."

Sonendo's Multisonic Ultracleaning System is currently not commercially available.
