(NASDAQ: QSII) and a leading provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, announced today that its NextGen® Electronic Dental Record (EDR) version 4.3 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

NextGen EDR version 4.3 was certified as an ONC HIT Complete EHR on May 3, 2013 and complies with all 2014 edition certification criteria for Eligible Providers. The additional software NextGen EDR version 4.3 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes NextGen® Ambulatory EHR, v5.8.
The NextGen EDR version 4.3 certification number is CC-2014-345777-4. The clinical quality measures to which NextGen EDR version 4.3 has been certified include: CMS117v1, CMS136v2, CMS138v1, CMS146v1, CMS153v1, CMS154v1, CMS155v1, CMS156v1, CMS165v1, CMS2v2, CMS50v1, CMS69v1, CMS75v1 and CMS90v2. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The additional software that the NextGen Ambulatory EHR version 5.8.0.77 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: NextGen® Health Quality Measures (HQM) version 3.40, NextGen Healthcare Rosetta version 5.8 and First Data Bank.
Other costs that an eligible provider would pay to attempt to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include: additional license and monthly subscription fees for NextGen® Patient Portal, charges for interface development to all external sources and additional charges per provider per year for Healthwise.

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more — but not all — of the criteria approved by the Secretary of HHS for either eligible provider or hospital technology. Companies offering ONC HIT certified EHR modules may return to test additional ONC 2014 Edition criteria and certify their products as Complete EHRs later.
