NorthStar Anesthesia announced today a new partnership with facilities on both campuses of MetroWest Medical Center. Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, Mass. and Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, Mass. serve local communities west of Boston and are the newest healthcare facilities to implement the NorthStar model of anesthesia care.

“The staff at MetroWest is extremely receptive and responsive to our new partnership. We are dedicated to continuing to expand services and document the outcomes in order to provide top-notch anesthesia care to the patients”

"We are thrilled about our new partnership with NorthStar Anesthesia," commented Barbara Wilson, VP of Perioperative Services at MetroWest Medical Center. "Teamwork and collaboration with a patient focus between NorthStar and our facilities has been received positively, touching all clinical areas including PAT, OR, PACU, OB, and Endo."

The new partnership marks NorthStar Anesthesia's growth into New England. NorthStar currently manages anesthesia for facilities in eight states and is working on expanding as more hospitals look to fall in line with new regulations under the Affordable Care Act.

"The staff at MetroWest is extremely receptive and responsive to our new partnership. We are dedicated to continuing to expand services and document the outcomes in order to provide top-notch anesthesia care to the patients," said Dr. Philip Eichenholz, CEO of NorthStar Anesthesia. "Our model of quality, efficiency and accountability will be tailored to meet the needs of these facilities and serve the people of Massachusetts."

NorthStar is the fastest growing anesthesia management company in the country, recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of "Healthcare's Hottest." The "Healthcare's Hottest" list recognizes the fastest growing healthcare companies headquartered in the US, with at least $20M in revenue for 2011 and in business for five years or more.
