Porter Adventist Hospital is happy to announce that the Porter Breast Center, a regional destination for comprehensive breast care and part of the Centura Health Cancer Network, has been reaccredited by the American College of Surgeons, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) with a three-year full accreditation.
The Porter Breast Center is one of the only NAPBC-accredited programs in Colorado and has continually shown excellence in the areas of leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional expertise and overall quality.
NAPBC accreditation is the gold standard for breast care centers that evaluates a wide spectrum of services that include prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, multidisciplinary care teams and genetic counseling. To receive NAPBC accreditation, a breast center must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of their performance and adherence to national standards. Based on these stringent, nationally recognized, and evidence-based quality measures, accreditation is granted only to those centers that provide the best possible care.
The Porter Breast Center is one of five accredited cancer centers in the Centura Health Cancer Network, which delivers integrated, advanced cancer care across Colorado and western Kansas. By using an integrative approach that links some of the region's brightest minds in cancer care, the Centura Health Cancer Network offers a complete array of treatment services, connecting patients with cancer and blood disorders to the most advanced care available in region.
