Acumen Physician Solutions, a market leading EHR and practice management system for nephrology, announced today that its product Acumen EHR, Version 7.0 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR.

As of December 23, 2013, the Acumen EHR, Version 7.0 has received 2014 Edition Ambulatory Complete EHR certification by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible professional certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

"The ONC certification will allow Acumen EHR customers to demonstrate Meaningful Use, maintain compliance and continue to offer patients the highest-quality of care," said Dana Hensley, president of Acumen Physician Solutions. "As the health care market evolves Acumen will continue to lead the specialty of nephrology with a comprehensive approach focused on individual practices and their needs regardless of the information technology they utilize."

In addition to an intuitive EHR, Acumen provides a robust, complimentary specialty specific practice management solution. Acumen also offers one of the most widely used tools by nephrologists in dialysis units and hospitals across the country, Acumen Mobile Charge Capture.
