Today, Allscripts (NASDAQ: MDRX) will host a gathering of financial and industry analysts at the Center for Connected Medicine (CCM) in Pittsburgh, Penn. The event, led by Allscripts President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Black, will highlight the company's strategy for the future of population health management, powered by Allscripts dbMotion™ and Allscripts FollowMyHealth™ solutions, enabling an Open, Connected Community of Health.

Allscripts is a leader in population health management solutions, helping to drive the industry's shift from a fee-for-service to a value-based care model. Well-designed and well-executed population health management strategies—facilitated by Allscripts market-driven solutions—can help clients connect consumers, direct care to the appropriate care venue, reduce costs, improve quality and enhance outcomes.

The event will include live demonstrations of Allscripts population health management solutions. Five Allscripts clients are headlining the event, sharing experiences and describing how Allscripts technology, analytics and community coordination solutions are helping their organizations respond to challenges and opportunities in the market today:

  • Robert Curry, Chief Executive Officer, Citrus Valley Health Partners
  • Robin Sodano, Associate Chief Information Officer, UMass Memorial Health Care
  • Danny Schunk, Vice President of Clinical Product Development, HCA
  • Linda Van Allen, RN, Senior Director of Case Management, Tenet Healthcare
  • Rasu Shrestha, MD, Vice President of Medical Information Technology, UPMC

A replay of the presentations will be available on Allscripts Investor Relations web page.

"We've seen tremendous growth in healthcare's recognition of the importance of population health management and consumer engagement solutions over the past year," said Paul Black. "A clear game-changer for healthcare, population health management has enabled providers to improve the health of patients and drive costs out of the system."

The event follows Allscripts recent Population Health University (PHU) user conference, where approximately 135 clients shared accomplishments achieved through data aggregation, connectivity, patient engagement, care coordination and analytics.
