Spacelabs Healthcare's Anesthesia Delivery System, ARKON™, received the Medical Design Excellence Awards Silver Winner in Critical-Care and Emergency Medicine Products at the 17th Annual MDEA Ceremony earlier this month.

MDEA is a design competition recognizing the achievements of medical device manufacturers and their suppliers in the development of cutting-edge products that improve patient healthcare and transform medical technology.

"ARKON is a prime example of how our team develops solutions based on strong clinical feedback," said Nicholas Ong, Spacelabs President. "Partnering with Design Concepts helped us bring life to ARKON's design and deliver unique capabilities that no other company has brought to anesthesia delivery."

Beyond its distinguished exterior appearance, ARKON™ is unique in its attention to how anesthesiologists work. Through its office and clinical sides, it was designed to improve the user experience and provide anesthesiologists the maximum in functionality, comfort and control. With an expandable clinical console offering a wide-angle view of the clinical setting and enhancements not previously available in the perioperative environment, ARKON™ focuses on the clinician so they can focus on their patient.
