onFocus Healthcare, Inc., the leading provider of healthcare enterprise performance management solutions for the healthcare marketplace, today announced that it has signed a series of new contracts in the first half of 2014, growing the customer base for its onFocus|epm ™ software by 152 hospitals. The new clients include two of the nation's largest, for-profit hospital chains; a regional academic medical center; a multi-hospital, non-profit community health system; and a faith-based health system. onFocus plans to expand its support staff in order to meet the increased demand.
The onFocus|epm system is a unique and powerful web-based enterprise performance management (epm) software solution designed to address one of the most common challenges faced by healthcare organizations today: the ability to ensure quick, efficient and effective execution and follow through on the top strategic, quality and financial priorities for their organizations. By integrating and automating strategic and operational planning processes with business intelligence, dynamic action planning and real-time progress tracking and performance monitoring, onFocus|epm helps providers execute and sustain the enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives and employee behavioral changes required to successfully adapt to new, outcome-based reimbursement models.
"The shift from 'fee-for-service' has put hospitals under intense economic and clinical pressure to achieve higher levels of performance and operational efficiencies across their enterprise," said Steven J. Mason, Jr., President and CEO of onFocus Healthcare. "We are pleased that industry leading provider organizations such as these are increasingly turning to onFocus as an essential management tool for operating their clinical enterprises more effectively."
Now in use with more than 400 healthcare provider organizations, onFocus|epm software allows healthcare leaders to define, link, cascade and track performance on their organizational goals, objectives, key metrics and action plans all in a single, web-based application. Using onFocus creates clear "line-of-sight" accountability for action and results across hundreds of employees, facilities, service lines, departments and clinics—producing performance breakthroughs in key areas that must be enhanced clinically, financially or operationally.
"Prioritizing, communicating and tracking performance improvement activities has become an increasingly complex process," said Joseph R. Landsman, president and CEO of University of Tennessee Medical Center, one of onFocus' new clients. "With onFocus, our managers will spend less time gathering data and tracking progress and more time driving action, helping us achieve important improvement goals throughout the organization."
