GBUK Ltd has announced that it has agreed an exclusive distribution deal which will see M.E.D. Surgical represent the company across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Marcus Ineson (GBUK Ltd Group Marketing Director), Michael Boylan (M.E.D. Surgical Sales Executive), Mark Thompson (Managing Director of GBUK Ltd) and John Donovan (Sales Manager at M.E.D. Surgical).

Dublin-based M.E.D. Surgical will market products from two of the GBUK Ltd Group’s companies – Enteral UK and GBUK Healthcare – to healthcare professionals across the island.

Products will include Enteral UK’s SAF-System range of enteral syringes, long and short term NG tubes, enteral extensions, gastronomy replacements packs, pH indicator strips, as well as GBUK Healthcare’s open and closed suction catheters, women’s health and patient moving and handling products.

M.E.D. Surgical covers every hospital setting in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with specialisms in Operating Theatre, ICU, ITU, Radiology, CSSD and Ambulatory Aids.

Mark Thompson, Managing Director of GBUK Ltd, said:

This partnership reflects the growing demand for our innovative products across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Having M.E.D. Surgical representing our products as a local distributor will allow us to better support our customers, with shorter delivery times and the ability for customers to pay in euros.

M.E.D. Surgical places great emphasis on employing people in sales roles who have clinical experience, mirroring our own practice at the GBUK Group, and this ensures that clinicians have confidence in the efficacy of the products we are putting forward.

John Donovan, Sales Manager at M.E.D Surgical, said:

Enteral UK has a portfolio of market-leading enteral products and we are delighted to be representing them in the Irish market place (North and South).

We have already received excellent feedback from clinicians about the Enteral UK range and we’re now looking forward to extending that knowledge to a wider clinical audience.
