University of Michigan, Biomed Central to publish new journal, Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology

Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology to be published by BioMed Central in partnership with University of Michigan

BioMed Central and the University of Michigan are pleased to announce an agreement to publish a new open access journal, Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology, which is now open for submissions and will begin publishing in the first quarter of 2015.

The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief, Meng H. Tan, Professor, Internal Medicine, in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes, at the University of Michigan, with support from highly regarded Associate Editors and an international Editorial Board.

Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology includes clinical, translational, healthcare, and epidemiological research surrounding diabetes and endocrine diseases. It will promote better care for patients by sharing with the community new knowledge, both research and clinical, on various aspects of endocrine disorders and their management. The audience for the new journal includes physicians, researchers, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, podiatrists, psychologists, epidemiologists, exercise physiologists, and health care researchers.

Meng H. Tan says: "Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology aims to promote better care for people with diabetes and endocrine diseases by sharing with their health professionals' new research and clinical knowledge on various aspects of their diseases. This collaborative academic-private initiative will make the new knowledge readily, freely and immediately accessible to these health professionals worldwide so it can have a global impact."
