Memorial Prompt Care & Family Medicine announced that it has changed its name to MemorialCare Medical Group. Affiliated with the nationally recognized MemorialCare Health System, it was a natural fit for them to become part of the award-winning MemorialCare Medical Group. The name change is effective immediately.

Urgent care services will continue to be available at the three former Memorial Prompt Care offices in Huntington Beach and Westminster. Other services offered include family medicine, internal medicine, and occupational medicine -- providing care for patients of all ages.

"For over 30 years Memorial Prompt Care has provided quality care to the people of Huntington Beach, Westminster, and surrounding communities. We are excited to have these wonderful medical professionals as part of our expanding primary care office network," says Jamie Lewis, MD, Facility Medical Director, MemorialCare Medical Group. "Under our new name of MemorialCare Medical Group, patients will continue to receive the same great service and care they've come to expect. We remain committed to our patients, our providers and our community."

As part of MemorialCare Medical Group, all three former Memorial Prompt Care offices will now be accepting HMO health plans including employer-sponsored HMO plans and several Medicare Advantage plans, in addition to Medicare, PPO and EPO plans.

Patients have increased ability to schedule appointments with several primary care physicians or walk-in and see the urgent care providers for same day visits for medical issues needing timely medical attention. Patients will continue to have access to their physician and office staff.
