NeoDeck Holdings, Puerto Rico's leading provider of healthcare management solutions, today announced it has partnered with DataMotion, an accredited health information service provider (HISP) supplying email encryption solutions for clinical and non-clinical exchange of protected health information (PHI). NeoDeck will add DataMotion's entire line of secure messaging solutions to its product portfolio. This partnership will allow NeoDeck customers to take advantage of DataMotion's advanced, cloud-based encryption technology – including Direct Secure Messaging and SecureMail – in order to exchange health information securely while remaining in full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH).

NeoDeck will offer DataMotion's solutions alongside its own suite of widely-used healthcare management software. This includes their electronic healthcare record (EHR) solution NeoMed 3.0.0.7 EHR. The result of more than 12 years of system design and development, NeoMed 3.0.0.7 EHR was guided by not only extensive end-user collaboration, but also in accordance with applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

NeoDeck has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition certification of its NeoMed 3.0.0.7 EHR system from the International Computer Security Association (ICSA) Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), using DataMotion Direct Secure Messaging as "relied upon software" (for official press release of certification visit: http://neodecksoftware.com/nd-soft/News/Details/8). This certification enables its customers to receive incentive payments for successfully attesting to Meaningful Use Stage 2 (MU2) certification criteria. ICSA Labs is accredited by the ONC-ACB to both test and certify EHR technology for the ONC's Health IT Certification Program.

Not only will NeoDeck resell DataMotion solutions, the company is also a longtime customer, using DataMotion SecureMail on its own behalf to exchange sensitive information.

"There are great benefits to partnering with an established industry leader and innovator," said Ivy Barnes, president of NeoDeck Holdings. "We knew we needed to expand our product line and DataMotion's proven solutions are the perfect complement to our portfolio. They are the only provider that offers market-leading solutions in all vertical markets, healthcare or otherwise. NeoDeck is now one of the few providers worldwide to offer both Direct Secure Messaging and full email encryption services, enabling organizations to meet compliance using the tools that work best for them."

The selection by NeoDeck further solidifies DataMotion as a leading HISP. Recently, DataMotion reported it has enabled, or is under contract to enable, 47 EHR systems to achieve ONC HIT 2014 edition certification using its Direct Secure Messaging service.

DataMotion is fully accredited by the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program (DTAAP) for HISPs from DirectTrust.org and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). It also is accredited through the DTAAP as both a Certificate Authority and Registration Authority, enabling the organization to verify, validate and issue digital certificates. Additionally, DataMotion is a Trusted Participant in the DirectTrust Accredited Trust Bundle.

"NeoDeck's commitment to listening to its customers and offering solutions based on their unique needs mirrors DataMotion's own approach," said Bob Janacek, chief technology officer for DataMotion. "This alignment of practices makes NeoDeck a natural business partner for us. Together, DataMotion and NeoDeck are delivering interoperability that works, producing better solutions for our customers, and better outcomes for their patients."

Introduced in the Fall of 2012, DataMotion Direct offers easy-to-use data transfer capabilities for "real-world" healthcare communications including secure email for sending and receiving PHI, summary of care documents and large images for both in and out-of-network communications. It also allows organizations to quickly integrate with the Direct Project and comply with MU2. As a result, DataMotion Direct has grown rapidly and now serves organizations across the healthcare spectrum, including healthcare providers, and EHR, HIE and interface engine vendors.
