U.S. News & World Report, a nationally recognized publisher of consumer advice and rankings, recognized Jenny Craig as the 2nd Best Commercial Diet Plan, 2nd Easiest Diet to Follow, and 3rd Best Weight-Loss Diet in its annual Best Diets rankings.

"We're pleased to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top diet for the fifth year in a row," said Monty Sharma, CEO and president of Jenny Craig. "Obesity is a huge problem around the world and we are proud to be a company working to resolve this issue – a job that is gratifying at the end of the day. Our personal consultants at Jenny Craig are ready and waiting for when people realize the 'moment' they'd like to lose weight and take control of their health and wellness."

The U.S. News rankings are determined by a panel of nationally recognized health experts in diet, nutrition, obesity, food psychology, diabetes and heart disease. The experts reviewed information on 35 diet plans, scoring each in seven categories: short-term weight loss, long-term weight loss, ease of compliance, nutritional completeness, health risks and ability to prevent or manage diabetes and heart disease. "The Best Diets rankings are designed to help consumers identify a diet that suits their specific weight and lifestyle needs," said Angela Haupt, senior health & wellness editor for U.S. News. "The rankings also help determine if a diet's claims add up or fall short – those that top the lists scored well in the seven categories our experts take into consideration."
