"We are genuinely excited to be bringing MedSpring Urgent Care to the Washington D.C. metro area this year," says MedSpring President, Astrid Stracke. "We look forward to serving the communities in D.C. with an affordable quality medical care offering, exceptional service and excellent value."

Last December, MedSpring also announced its partnership with Massachusetts-based Partners Healthcare to open and operate several locations in the greater Boston area under the name Partners Urgent Care. The first Boston locations are slated to open in summer of 2015. The expansion in to Washington DC will be the company's sixth market.

"We believe our first-rate healthcare experience will be a welcomed option for Washington DC residents," said MedSpring Chief Medical Officer Jon L. Belsher, M.D. "With extended hours and a physician always on-site, we provide an alternative to expensive ER visits and eliminate waiting times to see a doctor."

The new urgent care centers will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including holidays with a physician on site. MedSpring centers are conveniently located and able to treat a range of illnesses and injuries from colds and coughs to cuts and broken bones. The modern facilities include on-site lab tests, X-rays. Most visits lasts less than an hour, with same and next day appointments available.

MedSpring will continue to provide the friendly care and comfortable amenities that it is known for including free snacks and beverages, Wi-Fi and children's activities. Hundreds of thousands of patients consistently rate MedSpring 4.9 out of 5 stars in post-visit surveys based on the quality of medical care and overall experience they receive.
