Impact Beverage LLC today announced the introduction of its breakthrough athletic supplement HeadOn to Southern California. The ready-to-drink formula, which launched in Colorado earlier this year, changes the way athletes and active individuals approach strenuous activity.

Through its proprietary formula, HeadOn provides Southern California's athletes and fitness enthusiasts with the ingredients they need before, during, and after any athletic pursuit. HeadOn restores, replenishes and repairs at a cellular level with a trifecta of antioxidants, electrolytes and micronutrients that help recover and rebuild the body for overall improved performance.

"Californians are more physically active than the national average, yet many are still simply rehydrating with an everyday sports drink that hasn't evolved to meet the needs of today's athlete," said Terry Sperstad, CEO of Impact Beverage LLC. "HeadOn does more. It's the result of years of collaboration and millions of dollars in R&D testing to design the most effective and scientifically-proven fuel for athletes putting their bodies to the test."

HeadOn's advanced patented formula was developed with leading scientists and sports medicine doctors. The ingredients contained in the formulation were tested in multiple studies with the U.S. Department of Defense.

"HeadOn was developed with ingredients tested in a study with the Marine Corps. Participants who used the supplement showed improved recovery throughout the study," stated Dr. Gerald Haase, Chief Medical Officer of Impact Beverage LLC.

HeadOn is supported by a renowned medical advisory board, chaired by Dr. Haase who is known for his role in the development of novel strategies for antioxidant micronutrient therapy. Other members of the advisory board include Dr. Julian Bailes and Dr. Jeffrey Jones, both well-respected clinicians and researchers in the field.

Intense physical activity naturally breaks down muscles and produces excessive free radicals, stressing the body. HeadOn is specifically engineered to provide more than just simple hydration so athletes can train smarter and recover faster following strenuous activity.

  • HeadOn restores antioxidants necessary to reduce oxidative damage from strenuous athletic activities.
  • HeadOn replenishes electrolytes that assist the body in staying hydrated.
  • HeadOn repairs with micronutrients that support the body's ability to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress related to strenuous athletic activity.

HeadOn's proprietary blend of dietary and endogenous antioxidants, electrolytes and micronutrients – including vitamins A, D, E, C, and B complex vitamins, along with potassium, zinc, and magnesium – is formulated to provide the following benefits:

  • Diminish effects from active exertion;
  • Decrease oxidative stress;
  • Sustain hydration at an optimal level;
  • Improve repair after strenuous activity; and
  • Support reduction of inflammation that naturally occurs during exercise.

In addition to its functional benefits, HeadOn is made with no artificial flavors, sweeteners, high-fructose corn syrup, colors or preservatives. The product is available in four delicious flavors: Fruit Punch, Orange Mango, Lemon Lime and Blueberry Pomegranate.

HeadOn is now available at Anabi Oil (doing business as Shell Food Marts) and Macland (doing business as Chevron Food Marts) throughout Southern California, and is distributed through its partner Statewide Beverage Co. The product will be available in area Circle K stores and additional retailers in the coming months.
