International medical imaging IT company Sectra (STO: SECT B) announces that Kentucky Breast Care has entered into a multi-year agreement to provide Breast Imaging PACS for their women's healthcare practice. This will allow Kentucky Breast Care to increase collaboration with sub-specialists around the US and offer exceptional care for their patients.
Kentucky Breast Care, with locations in Somerset and Russell Springs, offers screening and diagnostic mammography services to women in South Central Kentucky with an emphasis on providing 3D tomography and contrast mammography services.
"Because we are located in a rural community, it was a priority to invest in a breast PACS that could offer connectivity with sub-specialists around the globe. Not only does Sectra have a proven track record of flawlessly connecting specialists, they also have excellent tools for reading 3D tomosynthesis. I have made it a priority to invest in the best technology available for my practice and Sectra was a logical extension of that decision," says Andrea Woodroof, MD and founder of Kentucky Breast Care.
Through true multi-modality software and hanging protocols, Sectra PACS displays breast images from any modality side-by-side with digital 2D and 3D mammograms. Together with integrated CAD, breast density assessment and reporting, as well as breast tomosynthesis capabilities, a highly efficient reading environment is created.
Sectra Breast Imaging PACS will be showcased in booth #6113 at RSNA in Chicago.
