Touch Surgery, Zimmer Biomet jointly launch Oxford Partial Knee training simulation

Touch Surgery today announced the public release of the Oxford Partial Knee training simulation on the Touch Surgery app in partnership with Zimmer Biomet. This procedural simulation is now available to the Touch Surgery’s audience of over 1 million users globally and will facilitate training of users on the Oxford technique, as well as create awareness of the unique benefits of the Oxford Partial Knee replacement.

The Touch Surgery and Zimmer Biomet teams worked to build two versions of the Oxford technique.  A US version that replicates the FDA cleared technique, as well as a cementless version that will be available to users outside the United States.  Each version has over 300 steps where users can interact and learn about the innovative Oxford technique, scoring themselves and setting benchmarks that they can gradually improve upon.

The global reach Dr. Chow mentions can be seen in Touch Surgery’s user population, with users in every country in the world.
