Frontier Medical Group introduces new hybrid mattress to help prevent, treat pressure ulcers

Frontier Medical Group, the specialist medical device manufacturer, has expanded its Repose^® range with the launch of Ultracore^®, a new hybrid mattress designed to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

Developed for acute and homecare patients, Ultracore^® offers silent, unobtrusive comfort for the user as well as proven clinical and cost effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

Launching into the hybrid mattress market, Ultracore^® is a simple solution with clinically proven Repose^® technology at its core – Repose^® having been first introduced by Frontier Medical Group in 1997. Ultracore^® features profiling sections to ensure the mattress efficiently follows the contours of a profiling bed to give maximum patient comfort and clinical performance as standard throughout the range.

Ultracore^® is supplied with an Xtreme HF welded cover of the highest quality, that both meets and surpasses all the UK and international standards required of the product. Xtreme represents real value for money by offering extended life due to an increased resilience to frequent or prolonged exposure of 10,000 ppm of active chlorine thus providing extensive financial savings when compared to more traditional fabrics.

Frontier worked closely with NHS clinicians to develop Repose^® over 20 years ago, and has again worked with clinicians to develop the key components of Ultracore^®. Repose^® products are the most widely used pressure area care products in the UK, with over 3.5 million people having used them in the UK alone.
