Planet opens new club in Tyler on May 29

Planet Fitness is proud to announce the grand opening of a new club in Tyler, at 2747 East 5th Street, at Loop 323. The club officially opened on May 29th and is offering grand opening memberships for just $1 down through June 20th.

The 24,000 square-foot club will be fully staffed and open 24-hours seven days a week, and will feature an extensive collection of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, stationary bikes and step climbers. Cardio machines are connected to entertainment systems, and 43 total TVs. Planet Fitness also offers upper and lower body strength machines, 30-minute PF Express circuit, a 12-minute ab circuit and a large stretching area. The club includes a PF Black Card Spa, with stand up and lay down tanning beds, HydroMassage® and massage chairs. The Black Card Membership includes the opportunity to bring a guest every day at no additional charge and reciprocal use of over 800 nationwide locations. In addition, a certified fitness instructor will be on staff weekdays, and small group instruction is included in all memberships.

"Our mission is to offer anyone and everyone a friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere to exercise at an affordable price," said the Austin based Franchisee, Chief Operating Officer Michael Turner. Prices at Planet Fitness are extremely affordable, and start at just $10 a month. Planet Fitness stands apart from other fitness clubs, providing a relaxed atmosphere geared towards general fitness. Committed to helping people of various fitness levels, clubs have a Lunk Alarm®, an actual siren on the wall intended to deter members from the hard-core, look-at-me behaviors found in too many gyms.
