Celebrating the power of technology and innovation, the World Economic Forum announced today it has selected Health Catalyst as one of 24 global Technology Pioneers. The award recognizes transformative companies at the forefront of their industries including previous Technology Pioneers: AirBnb, Cyberdyne, Azuri Technologies, Dropbox, Kickstarter, Solazyme, Twitter, Mozilla Corporation and Google.

"We are honored to be selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer, given Health Catalyst's mission to help transform US healthcare," said Dan Burton, CEO of Health Catalyst. "By systematically utilizing data from many sources, our health system customers are realizing significant improvements in outcomes."

Health Catalyst's Late-Binding™ Data Warehouse and Analytics platform provides healthcare organizations of all sizes with a unified view of clinical and performance data from their electronic health record (EHR), financial and patient satisfaction applications. With that timely, actionable information consolidated into a single source, Health Catalyst's content-driven analytics applications can quickly reveal opportunities for improvements that drive better quality at lower cost.

Faster and more agile than "early-binding" enterprise data warehouses (EDWs) common to other industries, the Health Catalyst Late-Binding EDW has been heralded by KLAS as a "newer and more effective way to approach EDW" (Healthcare Analytics: Making Sense of the Puzzle Pieces, January 2014).

"The impact of technology continues to accelerate in all domains of society," said Fulvia Montresor, Director, Head of Technology Pioneers at the World Economic Forum. "To better understand the breadth and depth of this impact, CEOs and other leaders have come to depend on their interactions with the Technology Pioneers and their diverse and innovative solutions."

Health Catalyst will be honored during the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2014, which will take place September 10-12 in Tianjin, China. The meeting is the foremost gathering in Asia on science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
