The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced its selection of Emergency University and HeartSine Technologies to provide nationwide Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and program management for ERT members.
The decision to utilize Emergency University and HeartSine Technologies supports the FAA's Public Access Defibrillation Program mission to provide safe and secure workplaces to its 43,000 employees nationwide. It is estimated that 3,000 HeartSine AEDs will be placed in agency facilities across the United States over the next five years. In addition, all FAA locations will be trained using Emergency University's Maestro Online Training programs.
The decision to go with the HeartSine® samaritan® PAD automated external defibrillator was due to the quality of the device and low cost of ownership. "In addition, the HeartSine device is portable, durable and is easy to operate by rescuers of all skill levels," said Gregory Cash, CEO of HeartSine. "We are pleased to partner with Emergency University in providing a complete solution for the FAA."
