Breast cancer survival techniques for dealing with challenges on the job and in life

As Lecheler celebrates the New Year, she is sharing her breast cancer survival techniques with business executives and others who are looking for a resolution they can keep - having a healthier and happier 2011. Lecheler offers up her integrated healing tips in her new book The Spirit to Heal (November 2010, Notting Hill Press, an imprint of Winston Crown Publishing).

"I share the techniques I learned to survive my illness to business leaders and individuals looking for innovative ways to deal with challenges on the job and in life," said Lecheler.

Lecheler's first diagnosis came when her now 10-year-old son was just entering kindergarten. She thought she had heard the doctor wrong and he didn't actually say her biopsy was malignant.

Lecheler's original stage one diagnosis took her down a traditional path of treatment with surgery and radiation. With her second stage four diagnosis, she chose an integrated approach with surgically removing suspicious lymph nodes, no chemotherapy or radiation, and cleansing her mind and spirit of toxic chemicals and beliefs.

A woman of strong faith and a healthy lifestyle -- buying organic foods, taking nutritional supplements, athletic and thin -- Lecheler was determined to beat the odds through a healthy diet and positive spirit.

"I cut out the fat -- spiritually and physically -- to survive. I eliminated sugar and bread and began daily meditations from scripture that were encouraging and uplifting," said Lecheler. "I didn't want to be dragged down by my cancer diagnosis. I needed to regain control through the things I could change - my diet, attitudes and beliefs."

Lecheler trains employees at various organizations from executive leadership to line employees on the power of high-performance thinking -- stressing self-examination and faith-strengthening exercises to clear away unproductive thoughts.

In addition, Lecheler focuses on aligning purpose, potential and performance to create the proper environment for personal and organizational health. Part of that process includes cleansing the body and mind of impurities that may be hindering work outcomes and negatively influencing the way someone approaches problem-solving on the job and in life.
