Six regions across the province will unite through ski by taking part in the Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge. Last year, 1,640 skiers and snowboarders helped raise more than $460,000 for children with cancer and their families! This friendly and participative activity for the whole family will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011 at Station touristique Stoneham (Québec), Mont Cascades (Outaouais), Mont Lac-Vert (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean), Mont-Vidéo (Abitibi-Témiscamingue) and Vallée du Parc (Mauricie-et-Centre-du-Québec), and on Saturday March 19, 2011 at Ski Bromont.
The Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge is an annual fundraiser. Skiers and snowboarders register in teams of four, and each team must raise a minimum of $400 in donations. On the day of the event founded in memory of Edgar Sirhan-Gibson, each team member must go downhill once every hour, for 12 consecutive hours (from noon to midnight).
