FIGMD, Inc. today announced the American College of Cardiology (ACC) will expand its partnership and strategic alliance with FIGMD by making an equity investment. FIGMD and the ACC have had a partnership for over a year, and with the help of FIGMD's technology, the ACC's PINNACLE Registry® continues to be the largest cardiovascular outpatient database in the U.S. The ACC's investment in FIGMD supports the ACC's commitment to accelerating the growth of the Registry by using technology that minimizes practice workflow disruption, provides high quality data extraction and useful physician tools.

"FIGMD's technology has helped us break new ground in accelerating data collection for our outpatient initiative, the PINNACLE Registry," said Jack Lewin, MD, CEO of the American College of Cardiology. "FIGMD is a key part of our outpatient registry and quality improvement strategy, and we have decided to take a small investment in order to promote FIGMD's outreach to other professional societies that we hope to collaborate with to improve quality of care. Having this innovative partnership with the right technology is crucial if we want to continue to lead the way towards high quality and cost effective care in the outpatient setting."

FIGMD's Electronic Health Record (EHR) System Integration (SI) mapping solution extracts natively collected EHR data and transmits to the PINNACLE Registry's database. To date, FIGMD has successfully integrated data from over 170 practices and will continue to work closely with the ACC to expand the PINNACLE Registry's reporting capabilities and online data entry.

"We look forward to having the ACC on board as an investor," said Sanket Baralay, President and CEO of FIGMD. "FIGMD has been dedicated to providing cost effective and innovative solutions that help organizations improve the quality of patient care. Through this investment, FIGMD will have greater access to the breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise that is at the core of the ACC. I hope that this collaborative model between FIGMD and ACC sets a trend and enables us to form meaningful alliances with other professional societies in the near future."
